We took our kids this morning for the 10 am show. My daughter is 3 1/2 and loves the Little Mermaid, although she's never seen the movie (just books and audio). She was so excited. I spent the whole time watching her face, she was enchanted. It was so great to watch her throughtout the movie, I'll remember the look on her face for as long as I live. I hope the experience of seeing it for the first time in the theater is something she will remember.

On a side note: I rarely get up in the Hollywood area, I really feel like the country mouse in the city when I visit.

Someone posted a full review with pictures and videos of the panel discussion. I thought it was an awesome report.

We went Saturday night and had a great time. FWIW, we did not get the short, but we did get a dancing Sebastian during the credits. Did y'all get him too?

yes, we had the same setup for Saturday morning.

But, alas, no dancing Sebastian during the opening night gala.

Oh well, I guess we just had to satisfy ourselves with the actual composer and actual voice talent playing and singing "Part of Your World" live. Le Sigh.

You know, I was just asking out of curiosity, not as a "but at least we got this and you didn't", so I'm not sure why you have to be that way.

He's kidding, is all. Silly iSm.

Did I mention I'm still jealous? I'm trying to console myself with the thought of seeing Pee Wee Herman at the cemetery.

Sebastian is like Santa Claus - he has many "helpers".

Yes, sorry if it came off snarky. Most folks here know me in person, and my comment - alas without the requisite emoticons - - was pure silliness of nah-nah nah-nah Nah-Nah.

OK, since I've shown that I've apparently lost all ability to tell the difference, I'm going to try to assume from now on that all comments are made with a humorous affectation.

In any case, I've put up a page with a few pictures from our evening visit seeing the film, including the new themed dessert at the soda fountain.

(Sebastian *was* funny...)

Here's the link: http://www.colddeadfish.net/arielatelcap.html.

Thanks.
