Well?

I checked to see if you won and don't see that cartoon anywhere - either current or previous.

You must tell us the results!

Strangler Lewis 11-06-2006 10:09 AM

They'll post the results at midnight next Monday. I assume I'll hear one way or another before then. Then, if I lose, I'll have a few days to challenge to the reliability of the results.

We fight not against flesh and blood . . .

The majesty of the democratic process has held sway.

A few moments ago I e-mailed Mr. Sagalyn . . .

Now, now, no, none of that.

. . . I e-mailed Mr. Sagalyn to congratulate him on a good job in a fun contest.

Thanks to all of you who voted. I appreciate it.

Onward!

I came up with:

Spoiler:
"I'm sick and tired of other companies playing us like a fiddle"

or

Spoiler:
"Our quarterly reports are in, looks like more of the same old song and dance"

Snowflake 11-13-2006 08:15 AM

Good for you Strangler! Onward!

I entered with this caption

Spoiler:
Bringing in Elton John did little to lighten the mood at the quarterly stockholder's meeting.

Strangler Lewis 11-13-2006 09:52 AM

Uh oh.

This was my entry.

Spoiler:
I'll open the shareholders' meeting with "CEO Man" a la Billy Joel and close with "CEO Man" a la Elton John.

They say that they get a lot of entries on the same theme. If it weren't for the microphone I would have liked something about what a shame it was that the local symphony went under.

"Onward!" is actually how Howard Junker, the editor of Zyzzyva, would conclude his rejection letters.

If I were more confident in my abilities, I'd say great minds think alike! Nontheless, I'll continue to vote for you! My entry was simply a whim when I saw it. I have no expectations whatsoever.
