best birthday ever!

taking a page out of the marketing handbook, this birthday celebration will last 18 months5 days!

it began with a very special surprise at work that followed a terrific week, including lunch with Capt. Jack Sparrow!

after work on friday, i met with some great pals at a cool watering hole for drinks, fun and frivolity!

afterwards, joining up (seprated by 100 people) with Gemini Cricket, Zapp, CP and GD, Sea Monkey and Not Afraid for fireworks and snow.

it was great joy for me catching up with everyone and enjoying your warm company. using a birthday as an excuse, i indulged in a fabulous corn-dog, brought to me by two hot waiters.

soon, we set sail around the world for what could have been an endless journey. it was like a voyage around the world, but in a aqua/seafoam green canoe. with the threat of sinking every 10 feet, we pulled ourselves along the festive river of crystal blue seas. Not Afraid was very concerned we would be cursed by the Children Of The Corn, but, with the momentum of about (a fleet) of boats behind us, we managed to exit in time for the clcok to strike twelve, proclaiming the official kick-off to the LickeyMumbo 21st celebration. (work with me.)

a special phone call at City hall and a magical Dream button collection/set rounded out the beginning of the celebration.

like a sheep, i followed everyone for a chilly tram ride to the structure. Zapp was a warm and cozy wind block. thanks man. Not Afraid refused to let me sit with Sea Monkey, though i think he secretly wanted me to.

a thought occured to me when i stepped off that tram: i didn't park here!

D'oh!

thanks for the ride to my car NA.

<<<stuff stuff stuff happened here>>> and i finally made it to bed about 3:30 am to soon dream of homeless guys shucking bok choy.

I had several magical phone calls, including a singing birthday message from a very special former monorail pilot.;)

today was full of busy activity, including finally getting to read this oh-so-incredible thread. you guys all rock. thank you from the bottom of my heart for the warm birthday messages. i "have used to much mojo in the last 24 hrs" so i wasn't able to continue thanking everyone. but, i want you all to know how much i appreciated your kind posts!

i enjoyed the extra birthday discount offered at the company store allowing a total of 60% off. umm, i got help loading up my car. LOL

in a few hours, it's back to Where Dreams Come True for dinner and Candlelight and hopefully, if the weather cooperates, more fireworks and snow. and again, after work monday, the holiday party that i love so much. how cool is being able to find any where you choose along the parade route to enjoy perfect viewing? plus 40% off shopping!! sweet!

thanks again everyone. you made an excellent birthday clearly outstanding!

Love,

Lickey

Well, at least the Candleight Processional wasn't cancelled :(

Also hope you didn't try to catch the second F! show as it too was cancelled :(

^^^ dinner and Candlelight is tonight. but the weather doesn't look to promising for fireworks.

is it just bad here? gusts are about 50 to 60 miles here in the canyon.

i worry about fanfare trumpeters flying away.

maybe by 8pm it will calm down.

FYI: when the wind was really bad last wednesday, i noticed as i walked by that about 4pm that fireworks were still being loaded in the event that the weather cleared. (the wind continued). nice to know how much they try to make it happen... making their decision only at the last possible moment. safety is priority.
