Whichever series had Laura Linney in it was the one I watched and really liked. I believe I read the first book, but never read any others. It is a rare instance where I like a film version better than the original lit.

Linney was in all 3. The characters who were each played by 2 different actors were Michael, Brian, Mona, D'orthea, Frannie Halcyon, & Emma (Frannie’s Maid). Mary Ann, Anna Madrigal, Dee Dee, Beauchamp, Jon, Prue, & Connie Bradshaw were played by the same people throughout. |
