We'll be there, but your guess is as good as ours as to exactly when.

lindyhop 12-23-2006 05:39 PM

Five-ish sounds better than three-ish.

blueerica 12-23-2006 08:29 PM

I wish I could go... alas, life as a non-APer catches up to me again.

Kevy Baby 12-24-2006 09:57 AM

Doing the families thing today. Going to spend the afternoon at Grandma's and then driving down to San Diego tonight.

innerSpaceman 12-24-2006 11:13 AM

Ok, for everyone who can make it - for the pretty lights, and the gorgeous tree, the melodeous Carolers, the white hot chocolate, the charming Castle, the blowing snow, the pyrospectacular, the small world enchantment and the icy slopes of the majestic Matterhorn - - I'm gonna try to be at the Hub at 5:00.

(but don't be too surprised if it's actually six).

Use the magic of cell phones - or, if you're lacking any particular phone number - feel free to call the LoT/Disneyland switchboard. (I don't know if she'll be there live -- tho I certainly hope so -- but in any event, she's Not Afraid to help you locate anyone at the Park).

Disneyland closes at 9 tonight.
And the fireworks at are 7:25

innerSpaceman 12-24-2006 03:04 PM

Hmmm, that puts a bit of a crimp in things.

In that case, perhaps an early Park evening followed by wassailing at a handful of DTD taverns??

Alex 12-24-2006 03:11 PM

I think most of DTD is closing up early as well, though the hotel bars will likely be open.

innerSpaceman 12-24-2006 03:15 PM

Then it's the Hearthstone, followed by the re-swanked "The Lounge" at the renamed "Steakhouse 55" (formerly Granvilles.

Oh, and I happen to know the bar at the Jazz Kitchen will be open till at least Ten.

Does this still sound pleasant enough for anyone? (I closed the Park last night ... and while it was a delightfully Christmassy atmosphere I'd be pleased to experience again on Christmas Eve ... I really wouldn't have to drive out there if that pleasant Christmas Eve lacked the pleasantry of friends.)

Cadaverous Pallor 12-24-2006 03:26 PM

We're definitely there. Hope to leave home within the hour.
