He sells tham at A couple of Farmers Markets (although I am not sure which ones) and they are available at a small handlful of stores (though not enough).

Be careful... they are wonderfully addicting. I stocked up on about 8 packages over the holidays.

I've tried dieting. I keep getting bogged down by those pesky between snack meals.

It's been one month, and I have at least one skirt actually won't stay on my hips anymore.

I realize I didn't post much in this thread initially, but I didn't really want to talk about it until I'd made some progress. I've been eating an average of 1300 calories per day, in 300-calorie small meals every three hours (per my dietician's prior suggestion). The strangest thing has happened. My appetite used to be pretty insatiable. I ate good food, but I ate too much of it. By eating constantly (or, so it must seem to those around me who watch me go to the office fridge every three hours) I have managed to reduce my stomach capacity to such a smaller amount that I can't even finish a sandwich from a restaurant anymore. It's only truly hard if I get off schedule and get hungrier than my stomach can consume (which I try to prevent.) Or if I'm in an emotionally bad place (yesterday, with the bad family news, it was a challenge but I still managed to come in under 1500.)

So. Month two.

WTG! That's great, LS!:snap:

(Except for the bad family news, of course)

Wow! Just fantastic news! You keep on keeping on! I'm on the dine every 3 hours too and it is amazing how much more energy I have.

Sorry to hear here peripherally of the bad family news, I hope things work out or are in a better space today. Feel free to vent as needed in this or any other thread LSPE.

Grrr. I'm almost there. Still not running every day like I should be, but I am still playing soccer every week (no game today due to adverser field conditions) and I've been jogging at least one other time during the week. But I really need to up that to daily or near daily. Meanwhile, my eating habits are...better but not good.

I'm glad to hear that it's working out for you, too-- I think it's much better for blood sugar, particularly. (Not that I'm diabetic, but it's good to avoid those crazy peaks as much as possible.)

And thanks for the support-- no improvement is really possible at this point, except for numbing (for which "improvement" as a descriptor is questionable.) I think I've vented all I feel able to vent in the Open Mic forum. Sigh.

LSPE, I hear you lost some weight. I think I found it. I've been on the "sit on my ass in front of a computer and eat crappy processed food even though my wife is eating healthier and encouraging me to do the same" diet. It's working wonders. Corn dog, anyone?

I reread your Open Mic contribution, it reads much differently to me now.
