So here are my photos - significantly less artistic, but hopefully demonstartive of the weekend of fun we had (in the park, on rides, and not sipping cocktails in the lobby of the Grand Californian) thinking it were the last days of APness.

Of course we had such a good time, we came home, jumped online and renewed with less than 30 minutes to spare

It was GREAT to find UD. I SCREAMED ....RICHARD in the middle of NOS then drug him on TSI with us. He actually hung out until he had to leave - and I didn't even teather him!

Nice pictures. What's the story behind "Somewhere Behind this Grid Lies My Hat - There She Goes" ?

There's a new Mardi Gras show in NOS with a singer/dancer named "Queenie" and the NO Band. Queenie leads a crowd down the street, gets everyone all hyped up and sings and dances a bit. It was quite a nice little surprise for us on Saturday.

Until I see photographic proof (i.e. GC and Queenie in the same photo), I'll have to believe GC.

Not quite. Lisa would never wear the dress! ;)

Great pictures! How do you get the black and white effect with the color in just some places? Is it the camera, or software on the computer?

I was tricked onto Mulholland Madness which triggered a serries of unfortunate events:
  • The Crotch Horn - Perhaps if I had a clitoris, this seating feature might have made the ride more enjoyable, for clearly this was not designed to be used with testicles
  • The Dip - Switchback Switchback Switchback - the ride became predictable until the dip which casued my hat to swiftly depart the top of my head. "There goes the hat," I said, but no one believed me till we were out
  • Man Bags and Netting - hard enough pulling out my freakishly long thighs out of the vehicle while trying to keep the boys away from the crotch horn was no easy feat - add the netting of the personal affects holder, which clung to various zippers and buckles of my man bag (or Satchel if you will) , the ride had to be stopped to free me, but wasn't stopped long enough to let someone retrieve my hat.
  • The Grate - Since the hat didn't land on the track, but below it - the ride must go on - but I could get my hat back at Lost & Found after the park closes. And so off trhe ride, I could see my hat, but the grate prevented bot its retrieval as well as its capture on camera.
And so, I filled out the form so that perhaps my hat will be returned to me. I wonder which I'll see first, my hat - or my AP...

There are setting on my camera where I can choose a color to accent - which will draw out that color in a picture and leave the rests black and white. I actually had a red as my color choice, but it highlighted a spectrum of reds. It's fun stuff!
