As I mentioned earlier in this Thread, there is a Heroes marathon on the Sci-Fi channel today! It began at 9:00 a.m. and will continue until 6:00 a.m.
I decided to dedicate my Saturday to this in preparation of Monday's big finale. However, I haven't done a single thing except watch Heroes. I finally had to walk away from the TV. My eyes felt like they were crossing! |
I am probably going to tune in at 8PM. Just got home. I'll pretend to study while staring at the television.
|
its good to see the show in order... I am so going to buy the box set when it comes out....
|
I'm about 97.4% sure (and 3.6% too lazy to double check right now) that Entertainment Weekly said in the DVD set, they intend to include "episodes" based on character story arcs. So, you'd see all the Hiro parts as an "episode." All the Peter parts as an "episode." And so on and so forth.
Sounds awesome to me. |
Wow, going through the episodes its really cool how this show progressed in one season. The show did not drag, they introduced all the characters and progressed the story so it really felt like this is more than the first season!
That reaction on Claire's face when she found out her Biological Dad (Nathan) could fly was priceless.... It appears to me that the gene that gives them their powers seems to be herditary? I mean Clarie's bio parents, Nathan & Peter's mom and dad, Hiro's dad, Jes/Nikki & phantom guy... etc.... damn sylar is a good villian... have no idea how they are going to get rid of him!!! |
I know, I'm soooo excited. Especially since - yes, there have been "answers" - as the promos say "nothing's written in stone." Hiro's time-traveling ability makes anything possibly different.
Not to say I want NYC to blow up, it would almost be cool if it happened in a predictable manner after all the adverts making it sound hopeful and different. Because... that might be almost unpredictable. EGADS! I can't wait for Monday night! |
Hiro's time traveling, while cool, is my most likely candidate for "what will eventually ruin the show."
While it makes anything possible, it also means that if ever backed into a corner it will be easy to use the equivalent of "and it was all a dream" to go back and do it again. Impactful time travel is full of paradoxes and eventually will accumulate enough baggage to be a serious problem. |
I guess I never looked at it in the "just a dream" sense, and you're very right.
Spoiler:
I think the baggage is interesting, and it's possible to parlay such baggage into its own element of the story. Also, I'm going to warn of spoilers. I just realized that there's some spoilerage going on in here. |
