Surgery sucks. Hope all is well and prayers are going up from Phoenix.

Awwwwww guys you really didn't have to post anything but I'm really overwhelmed, thanks so much for all of the positive energy today -- I just got home from the hospital and my dad is going to be okay (5 and a half hour surgery, yeeeeeeesh). I was actually able to talk to him for a few minutes (in a morphine-induced state, he can hit that little button as often as he wants, lol). He has a long road of recovery (and a second surgery in two months), but today was the biggie.

Again, thanks my special friends here on the LoT -- it really is wonderful to know such compassionate human beings. I'm a firm believer in the power of prayer, and know that yours today were answered in the positive!! Many hugs and much gratitude all around :) :) :)

That is wonderful news! I'm so glad you got to talk to him even if it was under the influence...keeping him and you in prayer thru the road of recovery!

I'm glad he's going to be ok, but I'm jealous of the morphine drip. ;)

So sorry I didn't see this sooner, Cherny. Matthew and I will continue to keep your dad and family in our thoughts. We're glad today went well.

I missed this earlier, but prayers will continue for healing for your dad and your family.

Oh, and that morphine drip button totaly rocks! Of course I would have prefered not to have the surgery, but that little button got me through!

Here's to a speedy recovery!
Hang in there, Cherny.
:) :) :)
