I'll likely never go to the Arclight again, but I'll almost always see a movie at the Dome if a movie I want to see is playing there. No more online bait and switch though.
I wonder if I'd go see massacred Star Wars presented by five-necked Lucas if it were playing in the Dome? |
Wow! That's a tough one. I really enjoy most of the movies. I've never seen Spartacus. Rocky is eh. Probably B&B with Angela, Music with Julie or Unforgiven with Clint. I just watched The Birds last night, well at least the boring part. Once they started attacking I had to change the channel. Actually, the boring part seems like the thriller for this day and age. Tippi would be considered a stalker.

Do either Julie or Angela sing their introduction??
That would make a big difference, ya know. I'd even go Sound of Music if Julie sings her intro. The person I'd most like to see is Warren Beatty. But I don't really want to watch Bonnie and Clyde (even though it's great, and I haven't seen it on the big screen since its original run .... yes, I'm that old). Can we theater hop at the Arclight? Or are normal multiplexing shenanigans going to be discouraged with this much age-dimming star wattage on hand? |
What does introducing entail? Is it some kind of talk presentation or "Here's a movie I was in a few years back, hope you enjoy it"?
|
Maybe some one armed pushups from Julie Andrews?
|
I'd vote for Spartacus, btw - Kirk Douglas is one of my all time favorite actors, and one of the highlights of my life was walking in Spartacus Square
|
Well, my favorite celebrity introduction at the Dome was Tobey Maguire (for Spider-Man 3), who just gave the standard Arclight intro of turn off cellphones, the movie tonight is such-and-such, starring so-and-so (not mentioning that a certain so of so-and-so was himself). TeeHee, that was fun.
I'd expect the introductions for this event to be more substantial, but I guess Julie and Angela won't be singing theirs. Alas. |
I voted for Spartacus... any chance to see an older film on the big screen.
|
I voted for Star Wars just out of loyalty, although, yes, it's the SE, and, no, I will never watch that on the big screen. I had vowed to never, EVER watch that, but during Celebration IV in May I accidentally popped it into my computer (trying to watch the original -- which is, duh, disk 2) and saw the whole train wreck. Yuck! Ironically, I was boycotting the 6-movie marathon at the time, because they were showing the SE versions of the first three, and I don't want to see the second three ever again, sooo....I went to my hotel room to watch the original instead. I'm still sad about it.
I saw George a couple of weeks ago on the lot (walking with Spielberg -- during the filming of some of Indy 4) and I recognized him because of the NECK! LOL... |
So did anyone go to any of the films?
