I am the original lovah of vanilla Stoli Lemon Drops. Mmmm...mmmm!!! I've had some badly made ones, but when they're made right, they're delish!
I love a peartini lately. Tasty! Sometimes too sweet....but all the better with a flavored vodka. Last night it was Hefeweizens in the VIP section of the Rose Garden at the Blazers/Pistons game. Tonight it's listening to the melodic voice of Paul Reusabagina (did I spell that right?) with a glass of wine. I'm going to a lecture by him, followed with a Q&A, and I just found out that wine will be served. :snap: Crossing my fingers for an Oregon pinot noir. I'm flexible, drink-wise. The beer must not be see-through. Anything else cannot taste too much like alcohol, be too sweet, be served with a little umbrella, or contain chunks of fruit (unless it's an olive--are olives fruit?). |
I like me a nice root brewski.

Euromeinke, margaritas, defintely on the rocks!! :snap: I don't care for blended drinks. With one exception, a couple of weeks ago I had a
Georgia Peach fresh peaches fresh raspberries peach brandy peach liquer blended and swirly, first blended drink I really liked in a very long time!! |
I went to a party in Atlanta last year where the bartender employed a "drink roulette" device: you'd put a dollar down and then he'd spin the wheel to choose your drink for you. I discovered that night that I loved "sex on the beach."
Normally I'm a beer gal and don't much like the hard stuff, but a good vodka martini, stirred, not shaken! with a bleu-cheese-stuffed olive is fun occasionally. We're a Ketel 1 family. When it comes to wine, which it does sometimes, it must be red. I like a nice merlot or a Spanish table wine. Can't abide the whites... |
I'm actually not very prejudice in my alcohol consumption. Fruity, blended, hard, girly, whatever. My ONLY requirement is flavor and quality. For instance, I do drink Bud or any of that ilk. That's what I like to call "beer for people who don't like beer".

It's easier to tell you what I will NOT drink than what I will.
I will NOT drink anything with any word other than Vodka or Gin in from of the word Martini. In my opinion those are froofroo and not martini proper and the word martini should never be used. I also like: Manhatten BuraPeg KirRoyal Champagne And, at my worst, see Fej's post. |
I really have a problem with cocktails, since I can't stand Vodka. That eliminates like 90% of them, and puts me at odds with every barfly in America.
It's no secret around here that I drink only 7&7's and tequila. Tequila is my booze of choice because its effects are the most druglike of all alcohol influences (although I've never yet eaten one of those drowned worms.) I love Margaritas, but mostly go for the Tequila Sunrise. It's such a Peter Pan/manboy's drink, and how appropriate is that?! :iSm: |
Holy shiit, I'm something of a Peter Pan/manboy and I didn't even know it. I'm not usually much of a drinker but when I do drink it's mostly Tequila Sunrise or Margaritas -- and yes, I drink 7&7, too. Oh yeah, and beer. Cold, cold beer.

Well, here's the rundown from last year's CityWalk alcoholfest, pretty much all favorites
First up, a green apple martini at Daily Grill a Cosmopolitan at Gladstone's A pint of Maarsen at Karl Strauss A shot of Cuervo Gold at Camachos an AMF to finish me off at Saddle Ranch We didn't bother with Hard Rock Cafe or Jillian's, but I'm sure I could find something there :D  |
