The different track layout, and the lack of the mountain mean very different ride experience to him (if I recall past posts of his correctly), not just "Matterhorn in a building".

Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom in Florida serves the same attraction purpose as Matterhorn at DL, but isn't the same ride (in a box).
