I'm so sorry GC. How lame. Stupid writers indeed.

Well, at least this is a good excuse to go throw back some serious martinis. Or wine. Or both. :)

Me needs some puppy lovin'.

I have to walk Marley at 9 and then have the day of until 5 when I have to make the long trek next door for Tito and Oliver. That's it. Tuesdays are usually my days off.

One of the many things I love about you is your ability to see beyond the suckiness of now and the knowledge that better things are always ahead. It usually works out too, doesn't it? And it will for you, of that I have no doubt. In the meanwhile, go to DL and have fun!

Well, one doors closed (or partially so it may sound) another will open. Does nto change the immediate suckage {hugs} to your Brad. Keep the chin up and go to Disneyland and pay a visit to Thurston!

GC, I'm so sorry to hear this. But I know you will bounce back. And like you said, something even better will come along.

Cadaverous Pallor 01-29-2008 08:31 AM

I'm so sorry, Brad! :( Best of luck in your next endeavor.

I suck at getting to these threads while there's something new and interesting, or at least less redundant to say. (I'm sure most of us feel this way)

So, I will quote one of my favorite playwrights...

I'm sorry to hear this, but I KNOW that the next terrific thing is coming for you - the "doors and windows" adage may be trite but it always seems so true. Plus, this door may not be fully closed. The company valued you, and when it gets back on its feet, it will need you again. (That is, if somebody hasn't already filled up your dance card.)

I do agree that it sucks that the writer's strike will soon end. It seems premature and really foolish of your company to do what it's doing.

And say hi to Thurston for me....

katiesue 01-29-2008 10:12 AM

OH GC - that just bites eggs. Hopefully it just means a better opportunity is coming your way.
