[quote=LSPoorEeyorick;215524]I am sure your cupcakes are scrumptious, Melonballer. I also make great cupcakes but I'm unable to come close to the perfection that is Sprinkles.

One of these days I hope to be able to bake for more of my online friends, both from here and other sites. Ask anyone who has had my baking and they will back me up. I would like to try the cupcakes from Sprinkles, just for comparison. They might be better.

No Sprinkles here, but we do have this and boy are their cupcakes excellent. Unfortunately (or fortunately since it keeps me from indulging) they are also verrrrrry expensive.

I credit LSPE for my first Sprinkles experience. I can't look at another cupcake without craving Sprinkles. Interestingly enough, there is another (new) cupcake store that just opened up down the street from Sprinkles. It's called Crumbs. The Chocolate Blackout is really good, but most of their cupcake selections have a mess of frosting!

From a distance it looked like a sweet, frosted walrus! LOL

At a closer glance it looks like three big doughnuts in two layers with frosting keeping it all together.

Ironically enough, it's a Religieuse. I guess they're supposed to look like nuns, in an abstract way. Basically like an eclair, only in a different shape. The one in my picture has coffee-flavored filling. Here's a description I found online, along with a recipe for a raspberry variety.

I've been pimping them for years.

I thought I remembered it being discussed before.
