I actually love Buzz, the family competes for prizes $$ and that makes it even more fun.

How does this '4-D' effect work? Do you have to wear the glasses? How does this go for people who wear glasses?

I can't wait. But, since I have to I will look to the positive that it will be cooler when I eventually do go and hopefully not hot in the queue.

Yes you wear the same glasses as you do for HISTA and Philharmonic, etc...

The are large and can go over glasses.

Cool! Thanks! I was worried I might not be able to get the full thrills!!

{biding my time...playing the game on line...nothing like the real thing but I can do it....}

Yes, there is a 3D with glasses, but the 4D is (in spoiler for those who want to be surprised on the ride):

Spoiler:
besides the 3D film, they use water, air, and smell. When the plates fly over your head you feel the wind as they pass over. When you shoot rubber darts you smell the rubber (I couldn't belive how that single smell took me back to my childhood-they nailed it!), and when you pop the ballons you get occasional splats of water.

I really enjoyed this ride also! But the queue is too hot!! And I was dissapointed that it didn't look like the WDW version.

*hee hee* I love how the grown ups are really getting a charge out of this ride!!!

{But, darn it, we are adults and they can't get away with those hot line queues!!!! Whatever shall we do?}

I finally got to ride last night along with my own personal inside source. It was a lot of fun. I was regaled with much trivia some of which I understood. And even less that I remember. For example, the 3-D glasses are the same ones as in HISTA and for some reason they send them back over there to be washed before bringing them back to DCA. That one part of the queue is becoming known as "the sauna" which is why they only use the outer part of the queue to get people out of there faster. They've also had complaints about the strobe effect of the lights in there. And there was this issue with Mr. Potato Head's ear falling off when his perimeter was breached (this gets into some of the stories that I wasn't quite following).

The Sauna. It's a good name for it.

Maddy and I are going Sunday. Meeting up with Wolfy and Wolfette. This is the one thing we all want to ride.
