Same here. We had to use our imagination to put kits together, they didn't come in pre-packaged sets with people and accesories. It's more of a puzzle instead of a toy that lets your imagination loose now......

Some of use had enough imagination to know that you were not required to build what the kit instructions demanded.

Yes, that is the era I grew up in too, but my son had a million Lego sets and they were a pain to put together. Darth Vader never stayed together in his little playset, it was a pain in the a$$ rebuilding him every time he fell apart.
