But what to do?

I can't decide so I do nothing.

It's pretty long now - so long that I can hardly stand to wear it down. 4 out of 5 work days it's up in a clip for sure.

But what to do with it? I've always wanted to try out black hair - but I did a dark brown job that was pretty dark and that made me reconsider.

I need a nice versitile cut that's easy to work with and looks good on me - the fat gal.

Chop and donate?

I'm finally happy with my hair color (natural) and I think my mom would throttle me (yes, at my age) if I started coloring it again. I did find a new style (very similar to my current style) that I want to try. My hair guy charges a small fortune for a cut though, so I need to save up. A different hair person isn't an option; I'm sure most of the women here can understand ;)

Mine has a big dent in the back.

You know, Nephy, another thing you could do is continually dye your hair lighter and lighter shades, so you can sort of gently fade out to the blonde, so the line of demarcation is less obvious.

Not long enough for that. I should have specified - it's long for me. Past my shoulders. But no - I'm too vain too just go *that* short. Besides, my hair is pretty thin now days - too short and I might be pretty scalpy.

For some reason, whenever I see this thread, I feel compelled to break into song from an American Tribal Love-Rock Musical.

I'd love to have short hair for a bit al la Agyness Deyn, but I would look HORRIBLE with that hair cut.

I'm getting mine cut today. Don't know what I'm doing yet - probably a version of the same. I don't have the face to pull off too many styles.

As for color, I have been thinking of going back to what was my natural color (which is sort of a red/brown/blond/amber color). It would still require lots of upkeep though. Too much grey.

"If I kept my hair natural like yours, I'd be bald!"
