I do pay to ship, even in SF. Freeds because Freeds closed their Polk Street location. Damn good coffee and teas and they will do special blends for you and kepe them on file and you can order them anytime.

I love tea! All kinds but mostly herbal and green tea. Trying to get back to drinking it unsweetened.

Chernabog 05-01-2009 02:06 PM

I'm not so much into the greens. I like herbal and black.

Heh... teabagging.

Has anyone been to Teavana?

Keemun is a fav of mine. I do not have a Teavana close by any more. Not to mention, they are kind of on the expensive side $64 a lb :(

I saw this thread and thought about the Sam Kinison routine: "More T, More T!!!!"

I like Teavana!

There's a Teavana in MV. I found it to be terribly overpriced.

I think I need to locate some new tea around here. I usually reserve getting teas for when I'm in Cali (and because my go-to tea is at Peet's and I have friends that still work there, so...)

Motorboat Cruiser 05-02-2009 09:35 AM

I've been really enjoying this year's anniversary blend of Peet's tea. It It has a slightly sweet taste on its own, and doesn't really need to have anything added to it. The anniversary coffee this year is also quite good, btw.

Of course, I tend to gravitate towards the black teas. Two of my favorites are Scottish Breakfast and Russian Caravan. I've found them to be a nice occasional substitute for coffee, which I admittedly drink too much of.

Ugh, they're both 2nd and 3rd to last on my list, respectively. They have Lapsang Souchong in it, which is dead-last on my choice of teas list. I feel like I'm sipping on burnt wood! :)

But I know a LOT of people that like it. If those happen to be your favorite, MBC, I would highly recommend picking up some Lapsang, if you see it. I think you'll really enjoy it.
