I was all set up to be offended, but now I see that it's not a remake of the first go-round necessarily.

Plus, Alan Rickman.

I'll second that swoon, Alan Rickman as the Caterpillar. Stephen Fry as the Cheshire cat, cool!

I wonder about Frances de la Tour, I love her, as well!

Ugh - can't stand digitally inflated giant heads. I hope the Red Queen won't actually be presented this way.

Other than that, it looks intriguing.

Sorry to disappoint you, but not only does she have a big head throughout, but the Mad Hatters eyes are enlarged a la Lord of the rings...

The Mad Hatter's bowtie looks like it's printed with a bunch of Jack Skellington heads. Awesome!

I can't wait for this film. Alice in Wonderland and Tim Burton were made for each other.

So THAT"S how they got Elijah Wood's eyes to do that!

All last night I was imagining him saying: "Who are you." And then I swooned some more.

VPM !

This really doesn't have to do with Alice, but it's still nice to read that it is possible for someone to be a superstar AND a decent human being:

Johnny Depp leaves $4000 tip

And, wowza, his current Public Enemies look, as evidenced in that photo, is one he should hang onto - instead of his usual civilian Deppitude. Hubba and may I say Hubba.

That he's apparently not an a$$hole is a decided plus.

Now he just has to swear off any more Pirates sequels ... and really, try and take it a little easier on the Burton.

I'm actually VERY excited about this version. I think Burton and this story are made for each other and I've even looking forward to the CGI-enhancing (who would EVER think I would say THAT!?). I hope it it taken to the surreal place that Burton is perfectly capable of taking us to.
