The fires are pretty far away from LAX. Visibility and air quality might be affected, but not enough to interfere with travel.

The coast hasn't been effected by the fires very much. The wind seems to be blowing everything East.

ok nice to know that flights aren't delayed by the fires .

Well that happened to my friend once on a flight to northern america and he was diverted in Groenland .

I know a bit in aviation and as far as i know there is and airport at least 2 hours away on the path from Europe to Canada . Last airport in EU is Shannon in Ireland and First airport in Canada is Gander in Newfoundland !

So... it looks like I might be able to come on Friday the 11th. Is there a plan for meeting up? Particular time and place? Should I walk around shouting in French and hope to be noticed? :)

Made it OK to LA . Most part of the flight was kinda bumpy . ' Rare from Europe to Northern America '' . Find SoCal very warm and its still .

Glad you made it! Yes, we are quite warm. Maybe that's why I was so cold when I visited your town, I was so use to the warmth here!
