To go through a proxy you can look up proxies on google. I think proxy.com had a list. You basically go to a proxy website and enter the website address you want to go through. It sort of forwards your request through their website and may allow you access to things.

That starts slow but gets awesome when the characters show up. :snap: I love how they turn them on and off in the dark. Amazing that they didn't have to do much to impress, just move around in circles.

It LOOKS beautiful, it looks like they absolutely nailed bringing the illustrations to life.

It had been a LONG time since I've read the book, I did not recall the story. CP brought it home from the library for me, at which point I realized why I didn't remember the story. There IS no story. That's the beauty of the book, it's the absolute essence of innocent childhood fantasy. What little "story" exists outside of the world of the wild things is sublimely minimalistic, a tiny snippit of reality to connect you with the kid, and nothing more.

I can't possibly see how adding a movie about childhood angst or family strife or whatever blather they've made it around 30 genius lines of silly fancy will do anything but harm. Not to the book, that is untouchably timeless. But I do not hold any high hopes for the movie.

I continue to find the sight of adolescent-and-younger children mimicing the dance moves of adults to be uniquely disturbing.

Come to that, I find it disturbing when I see adults dancing like that. But the whole fingers-to-eyes thing was killing me, wrong as it may be.

The weather in Milan this Salone has certainly put a smile on people's faces, but on Piazza della Scala, last night (Wednesday 22nd), even the clouds were smiling. British artist Stuart Semple released 2,000 'smiley faces' made of tightly-packed bubbles into the air, which dreamily wafted into the blue sky and then dissolved. The performance, which was first shown in London in February, is part of Semple's on-going collaboration with Moncler, which also includes new works being shown at the Moncler Milan flagship on Via della Spiga.

Very cool indeed, although I felt it was disjointed. The various parts did not make up or reinforce a more complete "whole".

I think it could have been even more interesting if all the cameras had been focused on one subject that was seen from various points of view; so that each video would have fed off of or into the others and thereby creating a greater whole from the various parts.

Just to use pigeons as an example, the artist could have set up a camera to film pigeons from overhead (say from a helicopter or tall building), another camera at a person's foot level, another at a person's eye level and another camera attached to a pigeon.

I thought the medium was far cooler than the message.

If they had filmed the one subject (ie pidgeons) you wouldn't have been able to start any of the film clips at any time.

I thought the sounds did converge into a cohesive immersion, and it was fun to try out various combos before unleashing all of them at once.

So, why is it that after I watched it and closed the browser, it is still playing?

It looks like a guy being splashed with milk - in reverse. The title is the only suggestive thing about it and I think the title is pretty non-descriptive of what's going on.

You yourself described it as "bukkake". I would think it pretty self evident that something that can be likened to "mass ejaculation onto someone's face/body", even if simulated, might be considered not-work-safe.

Bukkake is the key word here. Complain all you want but you opened a clip with bukkake in the title. Here is an idea -- when at work, stay away from bukkake clips.

I would have zero apprehension letting a supervisor see that clip, so I guess I just don't get it. Yeah, I labeled it "bukkake", but that was in jest and not meant to suggest the real thing. Sorry for being to thick-headed.

But if someone would be so kind as to give a good definition of "work safe", I would be most grateful.

Sorry, to my eye, that clip is one small step short of a simulated sexual act. You may have been joking when you said "bukkake", but had I viewed that at work and someone walked past my cubicle, I would not have been too happy.

Of course, if the title had been "Zachary Quinto in a Suit and Tie," and the video showed Zachary Quinto in a suit and tie, you'd still have some explaining to do.

I have no idea if this was planned or spontaneous. I'd like to believe it was just a spur of the moment thing. Strangers all coming together and dancing just for the fun and silliness of it.

This is an infomercial for something. I'm not exactly sure what for... however, it has super cool fast driving (like I do in Burnout Revenge only better and for real), strangeness, and more fast driving. (once you get to it anyway).
