Awesome. I don't have a pass anymore, so I haven't been in a while. Seeing pictures helps, though, so thanks!

This Venn diagram made me chuckle:

When getting a mani pedi and more than one person works on you, is it appropriate to tip each person separately or just give the whole tip to one person and assume it will be divvied up appropriately?
If the former, how do you handle it when paying by credit card? |
I would think you'd put the tip in the space on the credit card slip, or give it to the person that ran the card for you, if you use cash.
|
In the food service settings I've worked in, the tips get divvied to varying degrees. (Wait staff tip out bus boys, bartenders, etc.)... I'm not sure if that holds true in other service industries...
|
I know the tip gets written in the tip space on the credit card slip, my question was how to handle the tip when more than one person worked on me. There is only one line and I don't think writing "$5/$5" on that one line would be kosher.

I don't know the answer...but someone PLEASE help him. I think the staff is probably pretty pissed that he's been standing at the register for nearly 24hrs staring blankly at the tip-line on his credit receipt.

Thanks GD. You would not BELIEVE the stink-eye they've been giving me!
|
I say just leave the $10 and let them fight over it.....
