Mmm, I haven't had the Monterey Chicken, but Chili's sounds good tonight. I usually get steak fajitas. Too bad I don't get paid until tomorrow, it'll have to wait :P

My poor Mom

She's been visiting my sister for the last couple of days and waiting for me to get back from CA. She's so excited I'm here, but all I can do is b*tch because I'm having serious Disney withdrawals and I miss my friends.

She's being a trooper but I know she'd love to whack me upside the head.

I want to whack you upside the head, also- mainly because I was jealous! (Sympathy for the DL withdrawal though).

So I finished reading the 2L write-on submissions. Thankfully, there weren't any that (in my batch) that *totally* sucked, although some definitely would not be my first choice. I can not WAIT to have them on board, though. Doing it with half a crew sucks.

So, yesterday the daughter is vacuuming, and the vacuum, ancient as it was, gave up the proverbial ghost.

I went out and purchased a Dyson. A flippin' $500 vacuum. And this thing is amazing. Well that, and our old one sucked....no, poor choice of words for a vacuum that doesn't work well, but you know what I mean. Anyway, on the first usage, this Dyson filled itself up 1.5 times.

Ick. I can't believe that much crap was in our carpet.

I need a new vacuum, but I'm not shelling out for a Dyson. Sears has some well reviewed models. Consumer Reports is my friend.

I went to a Marriage Equality/Anti-Gay Marriage rally today at the Boston State House today. It was really cool to see. Both sides were spirited but not unruly and mean. It was nice seeing people be civil. Both sides chanted things I didn't agree with, but I enjoyed seeing people express their views in this public way.

I love Boston.
:)

Interesting thing about vacuum cleaners: when they suck, they don't suck.

But when they don't suck, they suck.
