Seems he managed to reach up, pull the book from the table it was on, and was happily munching away. In mere seconds, the edges of the entire introduction were chewed. So now I get to pay the library retail + processing fee so they can replace it.

I wonder if that's tax deductable.

Your bunny actually ate your homework????

He looks like a Stratfordshire/Lab mix. He's really cute and it sounds like he will be easy to train. He looks like a cutie! Thanks for the pics.

Soooo.....Had to stop by Victoria's Secret today for some new...things, and whadya know- they have a junior section for the little girlies now. So, Tori and I got to shop at VS for the first time together- fun! She also got a cute little pink dog* with no mouth, nose or eyes- kinda freaky looking.

*Stuffed type dog- not a real one!

Just out of camera range is the cab for his Model T. His other new toy is a '72 el Camino that he was given, but I won't let him bring it home.

So. I'm supposed to be at rope drop. In 4.5 hours. But I need a shower. So I'm supposed to be "getting up" in 2.5 hours.

I really, really can't sleep. Perhaps it's the cappuchino I had at 9pm? Although I did have a bunch of booze afterwards to counteract it. Then again, I woke up at noon yesterday.

Thing is, I still want to go. I'm thinking I'll hang for a bit then come home and sleep so I can be awake for my late shift, noon to 9pm.

Disneyland's birthday does weird things to me...although I could just blame iSm :D

Sooo...

Last night, we were both trying hopelessly to get to sleep in our oven, er, apartment. Usually we have a nice breeze but for some reason, we just couldn't get the place cooled down last night. And it didn't help that I got a really nice sunburn yesterday, making everything seem hotter and the sheets feel like sandpaper.

About 2am, we were resigned to the fact that it wasn't going to get any cooler when we heard a most unusual sound for Southern California in July...thunder. We got up and went out to the patio just as the sky lit up with a magnificent flash of lightning. We pulled up a couple of chairs to watch the show and were soon treated to a nice little bit of rain that felt unbelievably good. It also brought a cool breeze with it that finally knocked the hot air out of our place.

I don't think I've ever been so happy to see a thunderstorm.

Yeah, that was some wicked weird weather last night.

It just rained here about an hour ago. Nice, but weird.

Gemini Cricket 07-17-2006 10:07 AM

I hear that they were hoping it would rain in the wildfire areas to help the firemen. But I was thinking it could be bad and cause flooding in the already burned areas. ???
