As a freshman she was the starting point guard on her high school JV team, and she loses her summer season, so she's a bit stressed about her prospects for making varsity next year. I keep telling her that she played all last season in pain, so missing summer ball will be ok because she'll have 2-3 months to sharpen her skills prior to her sophomore season.

Pretty minor as far as knee surgeries go (best case scenario she's 100% in 6 weeks, worst case 3 months), but please send some positive thoughts her way for a successful surgery, quick recovery, good rehab, and a pain free sophomore season (and maybe a spot on the varsity team, too).

Good luck to her! I'll be praying for full recovery as quickly as possible!

That's great that you have company while you ride! That always makes it more fun for me.

Fun!!! Travel safely and have fun! I'm officially jealous!

Tonight's load-out felt like the shift that never ends... And there really wasn't that much to take down but it felt like fooooooooooorever.

Home now, with food, tv, my furkids, and beer. Life is officially better.

So, we were well enough yesterday to go kart racing.

I am sore in new places.

alphabassettgrrl 06-01-2009 02:23 PM

OOooh, kart racing is fun! We've got a little racetrack here running electric racecars. I even got onto Fox news; they'd sent a cameraman to talk to the hot-dog vendor and they included a short clip of us racing.

I just found out today that the hot tub is still full of water. It hasn't worked or been opened in a couple years...

This is going to be bad. I'm glad I checked on it before calling the City to come pick it up to be tossed in the trash.

On the bright side, lunch was an experiment and it's tasty!

Positive thoughts sent.

Thanks for the good vibes....the surgery went swimmingly well. Doc said on a scale of best case to worst case, it was about as close to best case as it could have been.

Yay! Hopefully her recovery will be speedy and she'll be back shooting pucks um those round orange thingies soon.

Well, my follow up question as to how the swimming went is probably moot.
