Not that it makes it okay, but if I remember correctly, the guy with 9 children dropped off either 6 or 7 of them. His wife had just died and he felt completely overwhelmed. Within a few days, he returned to reclaim his children.

Did that kid get voted off the island? Was he hogging the rice or just slacking around camp?

If I were his kid I'd have a hell of a time forgiving him.

I can't find any story on them being reclaimed (not that it didn't happen). Though I did find a story of another out of state kid (a girl from Iowa) being reclaimed.

Apparently they were taken in by an aunt, not the father.

It was a big brooha around here, maybe they thought lots of KS parents would be heading over the state line.
