StalagMITEs are trying to reach the ceiling and the MIGHT just get there. The others don't do much but hang around.

Or if you know your ancient Greek, stalactite is derived from the Greek word stalaktos, which means to drip. While stalagmite is derived from the Greek noun stalagma, which means the droplet.
So stalactites mean the thing dripping and stalagmites means the things having dripped. |

Promised myself that the one I got today would be the last gift I buy for my honey this Christmas (he's got like 11 or 12 now).
$32 to send a 3-lb box overnight to Texas, in case anyone cares. |

Thank you. I shall now refrain from calling you a tightwad for at least three weeks. |

Awww, love during the holidays just warms the cockles of my heart. ;) |
But, are you going to watch it?

I have been to Ala Moana Shopping Center here in HI several times in the past week or so. It is usually packed beyond belief at this time of year. But this year? Not so much. The mall was absolutely empty today. Weird.
I finished my Christmas shopping and cards and everything. I haven't been online very much at all. Work is keeping me busy and I try not to be home a whole lot. Trying hard not to overdose on parental shenanigans. The latest was my dad telling me that Bush Jr. was one of the best presidents ever. Oy vey. :D |
