I've been toying with the ice cream idea. After all, I have a bag of dry Dole Whip mix that would be easy to bring. ;) |
All ice cream requires are two coffee cans, salt, ice, milk, flavoring, and duct tape.

I would love to go but I cant get off the ground. And We have motor home but it needs some work.

ok, on a more serious note. I would suggest the large aluminum disposables (like turkey pans etc)...a good number of them in fact for use as pots n pans. we would usually bring enough to not have to wash anything but utensils, just crush it and throw it in the recycler. a thought |

If it helps maintain your image of me, rest assured that even at Burning Man I'm a square.

Along with menu planning, I think the discussion about tossables vs. cleanables is a perfect subject for this thread.
There's a certain mind-set believing its best to make as little trash as possible and do much more clean-up. And the reverse philosophy is accepted as best by a different mind-set. Let's take the example of paper plates vs. mess kits. If 20 people use their individual mess kits for 8 meals, that means cleaning mess kits 160 times. The alternative being 160 paper plates to dispose of. What do we think works best for the SwankCamp ... and why? |
If I were to show up it doesn't matter what other people bring I will have one plate, one bowl, one cup, plastic eating utensils, and I will clean them as necessary.
I don't see why there'd have to be a campwide policy. |
Pfft, wait till we get to the rules of color scheme clothing allowed.
Swank doesn't happen all by itself. |
