I finished my Christmas shopping and cards and everything.

I haven't been online very much at all. Work is keeping me busy and I try not to be home a whole lot. Trying hard not to overdose on parental shenanigans. The latest was my dad telling me that Bush Jr. was one of the best presidents ever. Oy vey.

:D

Apparently your father has not been invited to participate in any opinion polls, eh? Might help bump poor George up a notch.

I have the Outrigger Waikiki's webcam bookmarked, and love looking out at the beach and surf when it gets really cold here. Been doing it a lot lately. That really was a great hotel- I think we'll just stay there the whole time next Hawaii trip.

I really hate it when my morning commute makes the front page of cnn.com

Fortunitly I'm a lazy arse who does not go in too early so by the time I hit the road I was able to route around it. On the plus side, most of the county is without water so I'll go home from work early....

Actually, I was asking Kevy if he was going to watch Amelie. But it works either way! ;)

Ooh, I thought about you as I watched River Road underwater! Also a another friend of mine (one I've met more than once) who lives in Bethesda.
Sheesh what a mess, and the fact the water turned to slush afterwards, brrrrrrr and icky!

Just be careful to not shut the balcony sliding glass door all the way, or to firmly. Trust me.

That flooding is just practice. When Obama arrives next month one of his first feats will be parting the waters on his way to DC.

We came home to the best message ever on our answering machine.

This past Saturday was my niece's 1st birthday. Being the most awesome aunt and uncle in the world, we bought her a Winnie the Pooh ride on car thing. It's awesome, it's got buttons with different shapes, Pooh says the name of the shape and the name of the character that pops up. It's got a light spinner on the front. I want it.

Yesterday, our answering machine was flashing. It took a second to decipher what we were hearing, but finally we realized it was the following:

[Pooh] Circle Circle Circle Circle Circle [squeal of baby delight] Circle Circle Circle Circle Circle Circle Circle Circle Circle....Circle. I wonder who's hiding under the circle. [/pooh]

 My sister hates me, but my niece loves me.
