Why do people celebrate submerging mayonaise today?

OK, I get it.

Sure it took me three hours to figure it out, but I get it.

Got a new iPhone 4 yesterday. It's awesome- I usually hate new phones until I get used to them, and I loved this one right away. Super fast, I like the keyboard, and not much of a learning curve. Smart phone for dummies like me.:)

We went to see two friends in a drag show last night, which also featured burlesque dancers. Our favorite did a gold-mining number, which began with the recorded spiel for Big Thunder Mountain, which ends "...wildest ride in the wilderness." Not only was her dancing terrific, I was so tickled by the fact that she was doing a Disneyland-ish striptease that I thought I might be hallucinating.

Which leads me to the realization that a full Disneyland-themed burlesque show would be FANTASTIC.

That sounds lke a really cool idea!

Did she do an interpretive version of Goat Trick®?

Pincher bugs. aka Earwigs. Ew. We are having an invasion nightly. They seem to like the catbox for some annoying reason.

The good news is that I noticed the birds I've been feeding were feasting on the pincher bugs this morning. Between them and the toad, I hope they get it under control.

You have no idea how gross they are until you've seen them covering a wall outside at dusk.
