So tonight is the Po'okela Awards. It's the Hawai'i version of the Tony's for the theatres statewide.

I must say I have butterflies. The "Hair" cast is performing "Aquarius", "Flesh Failures" and "Let the Sunshine In". You know, a little performance where all the producers, directors and my fellow actors will be watching.

But the history of these awards is that I am usually snubbed. We'll see if that continues...

Three shows I was in are up for Best Ensemble and Best Musical:
"Once Upon One Time"
"The Drowsy Chaperone"
and
"Hair"

Fingers crossed.

My biggest wish is that Janine Myers and Jim Davenport get Best Lighting for their enormous lit up peace sign that was hanging over the audience for "Hair". It was spectacular.

The Peace sign is rad.

So are you, Brad. I hope you get showered with awards ... or at least a blow-job or something at the after-party.

Thanks, Steve!
:)

I'm doing something interesting tonight. I'm going all in black with a hippie sheik tie that is black with dark blue scrolling. I figured I go black because I hear a lot of people are going hippie loud with the colors and the tassels and the flowers. It'll be a nice contrast.

Break a leg!

Nice wardrobe choice!

I love that peace sign, and I bet it was a hard thing to hang. And take down.

So, ol' GC won an award for Featured Male in a Musical for "Hair". I'm pretty stoked about that.

Here's the article about the winners.

"Drowsy" and "Once Upon" won Best Musical.

I wish the Death Star peace sign got something, but it didn't. Oh well.

My outfit was a hit but I didn't get a shot of me in it. Maybe someone else will post a pic that was taken of me last night...

So much controversy last night and so much venom, but most of all it was great fun.

Went to bed at 3:45a this morning, got up at 8a... so tired.
lol

Yay, I want to see a pic of you looking good with your award.

And, of course, I want to hear all about the controversy and venom. What would the theater be without it?!

Me and the award.

A closer shot with me and the Lost Princess.

Featured Male in a Musical to Braddoc DeCaires for his performance as a transvestite
lol, like they couldn't have just given the character name?

Big congrats Brad, you rule!
