I just got back from seeing my grandma. Her kidneys have failed and her heart is too weak to put on dialysis. Her body is just failing all over. Ugh. Not much anyone can do...

Forgot to thank everyone properly...

Thank you. I appreciate it.
:)

Haha, wow... I just saw one of my parents' friends type "OMG" to her daughter on fb. For some reason I find that hilarious.

GC- **hugs** I'm sorry.

Pru- you might be able to find a fireworks display and get near it. Near enough to see, but not quite in the crush of the crowd nightmareness that surrounds anything interesting here in SoCal.

As far as the June Gloom goes, I'm perfectly happy to skip it. Like you say, iSm, I miss seasons, but I don't miss cold in any capacity.

Quiet day here. Nice to have a break from all the dance recitals (6 companies in June, 2 in May, 2 more in July). I did some biking and some shopping and it's all good.

Peace to GC.

We decrepit ones have to do that sort of thing tongue-firmly-in-cheek, that's for sure. Several years ago, I saw an actual Wisconsin license plate on an actual car: OMG WTF. I'm wondering if that one is still on the road.

So. Hubbo was lifting a suitcase into the shuttle that takes you from the terminal to the rental cars. He smashed his shin against the stairs. Naturally, he refused - refused! - to have it looked at A week-and-a-half on, it's red and it's swollen. That is not a bruise.

This is a big deal because we have plans to hike. There is always a Plan B but this is one of those times where it would be so much easier if we could stay with Plan A. He's finally having it looked at this morning. Wish him luck.
