Arlington's Cool. If getting a gander at the Constitution is your bag, the National Archives can handle that for you pretty quick.

Otherwise, given my druthers with no big plans, I could hang out inside the Lincoln or Jefferson Memorials for a while and get all the OH YES i can handle.

I wept like a baby at the Constitution last month, so that's been done already. Seen both Jefferson and Lincoln and (heresy time) I'm not super fond of the Lincoln Memorial. Loved Jefferson, but want to see something new. Heard from someone that the botanical gardens here kind of suck. But, still might give them a peek. Otherwise, I think I'll head out to Arlington today so I can say I've seen it.

Arlington? Meh. Try Old Town Alexandria and the Torpedo Factory or take the tour bus down to Mt. Vernon.
