Can you go to the Clan larder and get the Reagent Sauce and some noodles? I understand that's a good one to start with- I'll check out the Wiki for more recipes.

Stir-fries and chow meins

There are two stages of stir-fries. Vegetable stir-fries are a raw vegetable cooked with the secret blend of herbs and spices. Meat stir-fries are a vegetable stir-fry with some sort of meat or meat substitute added. Stir-fries yield a variety of fullnesses and substat gains. Adding dry noodles to a meat stir-fry will result in a chow mein, which means only Pastamasters can make them. These are arguably the best non-rare foods available, although the pastas that require both Pastamastery and Advanced Saucecrafting are also very impressive. Needs total confirmation: All chow meins yield 4 or 5 fullness and impressive gains to one or more substats.

[edit]
Basic pastas

Pastamasters have a few simple dishes they can make out of dry noodles and one not-too-exotic ingredient.

[edit]
Saucecrafting pastas

Some of the items that can be cooked from scrumptious reagents by Advanced Saucecrafters can be further cooked with dry noodles by Pastamasters to make top-notch dishes. None of the sauces are themselves edible (except Hell broth, which is nasty stuff), but the pastas all yield 6 fullness and serious gains to one substat, or all three substats for the Hell ramen.

As you can see, it's a bit complicated, but given the right ingredients we can make some kick ass stuff! We need things like Goat cheese, Hellion cubes, fresh veggies fof the Chow Meins's, etc.

Okay, I just discovered what I believe to be a pretty obscure Disney reference (unless there's some other maining I'm unaware of), and in a pretty obscure place, too.

In the character pane (on the left, with all your stats) is the "Last Adventure" link. If you put your mouse over that link, it shows the url that it inputs to their server to bring you to the correct adventure. The last bit in that url is "adventure.php?snarfblat=31"

snarfblat, of course, being Scuttle's term for a pipe in Little Mermaid. I'm unaware of any other meaning or cultural reference of snarfblat. And, on top of that "pipe" is a common programming term that refers to passing data as input to a function, so it would make sense there.

Wow, cool find GD.

I finally got the castle to say the procrastination giant was guarding, but I didn't have the right things in my inventory to complete the map. So now I'm trying to make it appear again.

I hope to ascend sometime next week. I'm thinking of going hardcore.

ugh. anyone else having horrendous connect problems tonite??

wendybeth 11-12-2005 11:23 PM

Not tonight, but I did last night. Horrible lag, and we have broadband. I wouldn't even try to play if we still had dial-up; my computer would be deceased.

Unless you've moved the wheel since, you shouldn't have to do anything. It stays where you left it until you rotate it again.

I wish I would have read that two days ago. I didn't read the wheel very well the second time and I turned it, so I spent many many many adventures trying to get the wheel to come up again, and then it was too far from the Procrastination Giant, so I had to turn it yet again! I finally got it though.

I sold my petrified time in trade for 800,000 meat. If anyone else is interested in doing this, I've seen it go for up to 860k in there. Between Michael and I we had three, so we both sold one and are keeping the other. If you only have one time item, I'd keep it. It will be more valuable later.

Trade is a great place to make meat. Things like dry noodles go for a lot. Ten leaf clovers are good too. Holy crap! I just checked the mall and the time has gone up by 100k over night! I'm going to hang on to my other time.

I was thinking of just buying the star suit and ascending, but I realized I need to get several familiars ready first. I did buy the buckler though to make things a bit easier.

Ghoulish Delight 11-14-2005 10:00 AM

I'm in the process of collecting enough stars for much of the star suit.

I used my time to make time pants, givin' me 3 more adventures per day. Had I thought about how valuable they'd be, I might have done otherwise. Oh well. I do have an empty blowgun, another limited commodity. I wonder if those will ever be worth anything.
