Whoa horsie... are you in an alternative school? Or are the schools just really little where you are?
I think I have missed this tidbit over time.

We find out tonight what class the boy is in. They start monday, so they post it tonight.

My ears are still ringing from last night.

It's a charter elementary school with a multi-age satellite school right next door, Ponine. Enrollment in the multi-age department is optional and most parents choose the traditional campus. And since it's a charter school, we are able to keep our children (now only Todd) enrolled there no matter where we live. Our retiring teacher is the co-founder of the multi-age department (the other founder died in a bike accident last August).

Basically the multi-age program works like this: Todd's class last year was 2nd and 3rd graders. Everyone works at their own pace and the advanced students are free to work ahead. For example, a 2nd grade student who excels in math can work with the third-graders during math time.

Todd had the choice this summer to either a) stay with the same teacher he's had for two years, b) go with a new teacher, c) go to a school in his home district - Elk Grove Unified. Todd chose a and ended up with b.

Did you go to a concert? I always wear earplugs.

Stan4dSteph~ Are YOU going to the U2/Pearl Jam show in Honolulu??? Ooo, we had toyed with the idea...

Yes, I have learned the benefit of wearing earplugs. Unfortunately maybe a tad bit late. :D But, I think even as you are wearing them, you can hear more clearly.

I understand this to be the last show for both bands for some time? Not a show to be missed.

Okay, I'm with you now.
I have a couple of those types of charters on my payroll.
Thank you for the clarification.
I have no doubt he will be great and adjust very well. :snap:

Seriously, have a great time. I'll bet it'll be a great show.
