And this was definitely one angry squirrel! I swear I didn't take his treat. But I did skedaddle on to the mail before he decided otherwise. Campus squirrels are notoriously aggressive.

I wonder if they found that squirrel in his pocket??

Security- "Sir, did you quack at me??"

Chris- "No,"

S- "What are you trying to say"

C- "I didn't quack at you?"

S- "Sir, you need to come with me..."

Now you know why you haven't heard from him. They are trying to extract the crazed squirrel in some back office at the airport.

Security was fine and I'm not sure how they enforce the No LIquids rule inside the terminal, a woman boarded me afterwards with a prepackaged salad, complete with a small container of salad dressing...

Getting to the hotel was a challange - took forever to get my bags - now that everyone's checking them - and there's construction on the expressway into town. By the time I got to my room, room service was the only reall dinning option, so I got a burger and some fuzzy water for about $50 - sheesh.

The real sad news is while I was getting settled NA had to take Jack back to the vets - this time emergency, he's just not recovering that quickly and is still having problems. She's on her way home with him though, a shot and some new meds to pick up tomorrow. Hopefully this time he'll get better. Likewise hopefully Lyra will eat something and not starve herself to death in my absence.

Thankfully, I'm only here 2 nights.

Back from the vet and still worried. But, that's what Mom's do, right? Jack's having spasmsa nd they are painful. I'll beon the phone to his regular vet tomorrow. Meanwhile, Lyra is still alive but not eating much - I'm tempting her with mackarel, chicken baby food, tuna, fancy feast, anything and everything. Stress level back up to Orange.

I'm sorry.

Me, too.:(

Really bummed, as a matter of fact. I loved meeting all of your kids and the thought that two of them are sick makes me very sad- they are all so incredibly sweet and cute and friendly. Well, okay, Lyra glared a bit at us, but we were disrupting her routine. Fingers and toes crossed that Jack will be back to his cute old self again and that Lyra will eat and stop worrying her mom so much.

I keep looking at the post count of this thread, and wonder if it's going to be the longest thread on the planet.

So... what are you doing?

NA ~ Poor kitties. :(

There are 6 people in my department. Two are on vacation, one is out sick, one is late and two (one being me) are actually working. It's a ghost town.

Ralphie leaves for a science cruise tomorrow and will be in a submarine to a deep sea area off of Washington sometime next week. He'll be gone for 3 weeks! I'm sad and happy. :D
