My life is boring. I am sort of awake, getting ready to go back to sleep. Nickolas walked out the door over 1/2 hour ago. Tonights dinner is in the crockpot. Job ads have been viewed, none worth applying for. Poohdog is hyper and keeps whining at me to go out and play with him. The girls are eating peanuts and keep acting pathetic so that I will take them out. The sound of crunching and tearing of shells is filling my livingroom.

:( Give my love to the kitties.

GC, I'm so jealous of Ralphie.

I have my fingers crossed. He is on a list of people who are going (ahem) down, but anything (like the weather, ocean conditions, visibility etc) can get you bumped. I'm hoping he doesn't get bumped because he's a junior scientist compared to all the older folk that will be there too.

He's so funny, in a creepy way though. He said the other night, 'I hope we don't implode.' And he said it in a scientist sort of way like it happens all the time, it's a risk but oh well...
I promised myself I wouldn't worry. So far, I'm not worried.
:)

Geez, Ralphie sounds like the Hubster. He brings up factual things at just the most scary moment.

Like when driving over the Coronado Bridge...'I wonder what would happen if there were an earthquake right now?'

Or while in Yosemite after a big snow 'Wow, hope it doesn't get too warm...or rain...' and points out all of the 'Level of the Flood' signs throughout the valley.

He freaks me out. And I am paranoid as it is!!

I just found out that my computer display was set weird. (I find this out the day before my last day of work...) Apparently, I had everything set to Pan and Scan before. I had to scroll over to read everyone's posts. So I adjusted it and I can read everything but the font is small and different. I feel like I'm taking some weird eye test.

Bizarre!

At 2 am, I broke down and took 1/2 an Ambien because I asn't going to sleep on my own anytime soon. That was a good move for mommy. Jack seems to be doing a bit better - or he was purring in my lap at least. He's very smelly, but cute. I called the vet to get the anti-spasmodic medication the doctor recommended last night. I'm waiting for them to call me back.

Lyra is stilll being a lump. She's aware but weak. I may have to force feed her some soft food. Chris did that to her before but I never did it. I sure wish he was somewhere where I could reach him instead of somewhere in the depths of a coal plant. Another fun day looms.

Oh NA! I hope things turn for the better quickly!

Maybe they'll see a Megaladon. The last one on earth. Ever.

Or that giant whale/shark (I forget which) that lives at the bottom of the sea. I saw it on the Discovery channel.

Yeah, and maybe he'll get to drive his submarine into its belly, only to crawl out of it (the sub), cut a hole in the belly, squish around for a bit, and sever its heart to keep it from killing any more innocent names on a page. And live to tell about it.

Whoops, I just ruined a terrible book. Guess that one won't be on the LoT book club list anytime soon. (Thank goodness!)

What book is that?

The shopping center across the street from my house has the jaw of a megladon on display. It's massive. Maybe one day (if I can get my card reader fixed) I'll go take a photo.
