That is ultra-coolness right there. Wow! Very James Bond. I could see Daniel Craig emerging from that swimming pool...

I could see the producers creating such a scene just so they could hang out on the boat for awhile.....

I am sweaty Betty. Just got out of the shower and I'm already already sweaty. Perhaps it's time to indulge and turn on the AC.

Today was delightful. Got some lovely plants at the farmer's market. Then discovered Torrance Beach, which is just fabulous. I could have hung out there all day. But, we had plans to spend the evening at Disneyland so the Rat could watch the electrical parade for the first time. But, now my feet hurt.

Sounds wonderful ! I wish we could have been there. I'd have given you a foot rub.

I think my feet may still be a bit sore. What time should I expect you to arrive for the foot rub?

Well, I got home from the show last night to find my computer dead. No output to the monitor, not taking any input from key oars or mouse. It wom't even turn off at the power switch! The only command it will obey is to opes the drawer for a disc. Turned it off and on T the power source several tomes to no avail. I'm now connected to the world solely through my phone.P:mad:

I made a "practice" skirt last weekend from a book (Sew What - Skirts) I found that shows you how to make your own patterns and make a variety of cute skirts. My skirt was the easiest one in the book, a-line with a drawstring waist that I made out of some fabric from M & L, just to see if the sizing was okay. It fits okay but it's kind of shapeless and I didn't have the best cording for the drawstring. The fabric is this retro-looking print with a building that looks like the Tahitian Terrace restaurant that used to be in Downey (was that the name?) and some tikis and Hawaiian-looking flowers. The print is interesting but the color is not my favorite, kind of a blah grayish-green. Anyway I folded it up and put aside it with plans to try another skirt with a fitted waist and zipper this weekend.

Yesterday I had nothing to wear because all my cotton pants needed to be ironed and I didn't want to bother. So I tried on the skirt with a t-shirt and decided it would work. Then when I was in Trader Joe's a woman told me she loved the skirt, especially the vintage fabric. Well, maybe it isn't as ugly as I think. I told her about M & L and she told me about a fabric place in Cerritos I'll have to check out.

That made my day.:)

Fabric place in Cerritos? Do tell!
