Aaack! Decisions, decisions. Will someone please make up my mind for me?

Morrigoon 07-13-2005 10:35 AM

Okay Mousepod:

You're going to the Lost Bar meet at 10pm Saturday night, visiting for a few, then, with all your stuff in tow, going into DL before they close the gates so you can be in front of Coke Corner on Main Street at midnight, where I and anyone who cares to gather with me will be singing Happy Birthday to Disneyland. From there, you, I and everyone with us will be heading directly over to DCA to line up wherever they say in order to get into DCA when it opens.

Sounds like I'm going to be floating like a Mickey balloon (and not those crappy mylar ones, either) from all the excitement. Perhaps I'll just tie a string around me and let someone pull me along...

H. Should I bring extra coffee for you?;)

Guys, guys. There is no reason at all to be there at 2am if you don't want to! If you go at 2am, it's because you want to be first in line, or you want to pull an all-nighter in Disney geekery. Very few of us will be there then. Many others seem to be showing up at 4 or 5am, while me and GD are planning on arriving at 7:15ish.

There will NOT be 70,000 people there at 8am. I think you'd be more "sorry" if you didn't get any sleep and burned out at 1pm!

If I can't get work moved around, I may not be staying for Sunday. But, either way I fully plan on being on Main Street Saturday at midnight, so I can technically say I was there on the 17th.

Aww! Sorry to hear about your crappy work schedule. We'll miss you. :(

Yep, burnout is a very bad thing on a day when YOU CANNOT LEAVE THE PARK if you want to get back in before say, oh, 8pm.

I plan on getting a full four hours before I head over to DCA.

Good points, all of them. I guess my concern isn't as much getting into the park as it is having a major line for our blockout tickets. How full do you forsee the ticket booths being?

Disneyphile 07-13-2005 12:56 PM

I can't wait for an all-night geek-fest. Ken and I plan on sleeping in the late afternoon/early evening on Saturday, then heading over to DL before 11, close it, then cross the esplanade for some all-night partying, then leaving DL after dinner on Sunday. We'll also probably grab a nap sometime on the train between the caroussel run and the rededication.

GEEK FEST!!!!!!! :D

I'm almost looking more forward to the line-up than the actual day, just because it's a once-in-a-lifetime thing. (Not that the day isn't, but still..... it'll be like a convention of Disney geeks camping in a Disney park!!!)

I got my schedule moved around just a little bit.
I plan on being at the park Saturday, pulling a geek-infested all-nighter, being in the park for a grand total of *drum roll* 1.5 hours, going to work, leaving straight for L.A. to see Wicked at 6:30pm.

It will be marvelous.

Sleep? That's BS, I'm 18, I don't need sleep.;)

Very, very cool. :) I hope you and the others have a blast! Take lots of pictures!

There will be many different ways we celebrate the 50th...opening the park, hitting certain attractions, meeting other geeks, wearing our DL pieces of flair, ;) taking a long lunch at the Blue Bayou, talking to CMs, watching fireworks....as usual, there's a lot to do and all of us will do the day differently to some degree.

I know each and every one of us will have a great time regardless of our choices.
