Good for you, Kim! :snap:

I am in complete agreement with everything that you said. I feel the same way, too!

I'm almost due for a new jar of Mineral Veil & and foundation in Light. It's amazing how well it matches my skin tone! Instead, I bought just a little jar of eyeliner in Coffee Bean. I have a few more weeks to go until I'm in the desperation stages.

I love, love, LOVE Warmth! How fantastic is that stuff? I use it as a blush & dust it across my nose for a healthy glow. I don't tan during the winter months, so the Warmth gives me a jolt of color where I really need it most. I absolutely love Warmth.

Enjoy! I'm so happy for you! :)

I'm glad you like them Kim.
I agree that the hardest part is figuring out how much to use.
My skin is calmer since I am not scrubbing foundation off every day. And really, I sleep in it a lot of the time.
The more I wash my face the more I aggravate it, and the roscea gets darker.

Once I get the full hang of it, I'll be stying. But really, the people who see me daily think it was once of the best purchases I've ever made.

*Though it has crossed my mind... so we get totally addicted to this stuff, what happens if she ever goes out of business?

Several companies, including philosophy, http://www.philosophy.com/webapp/wcs...category=23506, are coming out with similar minerals-based powdered foundation. I think the stuff is here to stay! :)

Way cool link, Clairebear! :snap: I was just playing with Philosophy's Supernatural last week at Sephora. I had seen it in the catalog, and was curious to see what it was all about! It comes in a very neat container.

There is another brand of Bare Minerals sold next to Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals at the Beauty Emporium where I purchase mine.I couldn't remember the brand name until I googled away. Lo & behold- Mineral Essence!

Shop away, Mineralettes!

I am so in love with this site! They offer absolutely everything. I discovered & clicked upon some Bare Mineral products I never even knew existed! I really need to go to the Bare Minerals boutique, but I'm almost scared to. I'll want everything! :(

How cool are these?

Lip Quickies!

There are some shades I've only seen at Sephora Downtown Disney, and then there are some I've only seen at Beauty Collection Apothecary (where I shop). I'm sure the Bare Minerals shop would carry everything! Oh, the fun! :snap:

After spending close to 24 hours with Allybell, I broke down and purchased the I.D. Bare Essentials Complexion Perfection kit in Fairly Light/ Light which happens to be the same shade as dear Allybell.

Will play with it after I get more than 3 hours of sleep.

OK, I'm dredging up a really old thread here... but...

Is anybody still using Bare Minerals? How's it doin' for you? Any tips for a new user? Like... is it really noncomedogenic?

Well, I think I'm in the minority, I don't care for it all that much. I find it takes a lot to cover, it does not wear well and am I the only person who hates all the 9000 little jars you have to have and have to turn over to see what colr/type/item you have in hand? I do love the brushes. Not to mention with all the swirling, tapping and blending, more product gets all over the bathroom sink than on my face.

My roomie swears by Philosphy products, but I hate those too. I would not mind if thing were IDd with something remotely recognizable at 6am when I am bleary-eyed in the bathroom washing my face, but to me, "Hope in a Jar" "When Hope is Not Enough" or "Help me" does not translate to moisturizer (or whatever the hell it is). I don't think washing my face needs to be so complicated and hard at after 40!

But hey, it's just me. I still love Rachel Perry products for cleansing and for make up, Borghese colors are to die for, not cheap, but then neither is Bare Minerals.

I like it, but honestly I don't use it all that much. Only special occasions. What I do like is that I can't feel it on my skin. Liquids make me bonkers all day long because I can feel it and want to rub it all of.

I do agree with Snowflake that it can be messy, but since I'm not a daily user it's not such a big deal for me.
