Disney alternates. At Boomers the party is only for the corporate office and the regular park staff runs the park. I'm not sure what they do for park employees.

Wow, really? That's downright cruel. "Haha, we're having a party while you're working, you lowly hourly slaves!"

MickeyLumbo 12-06-2005 12:28 PM

i was at the park 'till 1am last night...some highlites:

Matt O and Bob I handing out candy canes. OH SO MUCH more pleasant than seeing Eisner.

one of my office managers as a jungle cruise skipper.

a blizzard on Main Street during the Christmas parade.

Space Mountain work lights on at the end of the evening.

a picture with Mickey!

50th merchandise event in Golden Horseshoe.

NO crowds!!!! (they don't even put up ropes for parade or have cross overs or need CM's to do Guest Control. it is so cool. all on best behavior, controling ourselves.)

Yup. I'm not sure what, if anything they do for the parks (since they are across the nation). They may have local parties but somehow I doubt it. I've told you stories from there. I don't expect more from a company that will tell corportae office entry level employees "you will never advance from this position regardless of your skills".

I've only worked in one hourly establishment (Longs Drugs) that had an Christmas party for it's employees.

MickeyLumbo,

It sounds like the DL Xmas party was a wonderful time!!!!!!!! :snap:

My sister has a good idea for Boomers. "The workers at the locations should be able to go to corporate and hang out in offices for a day while the execs get them coffee and make copies."

Great idea!

Now that I've participated in my first major derail...

Are fireworks going 7 days a week again wind permitting?
