Oooh Little Man. Mark Kermode (currently my favorite critic) described the film as "the most retrograde, horrible, nauseating, inward-looking, smug, repulsive, grotesque, ill-advised, badly-judged film", "pure evil" and "possessed by the devil".

His podcast from BBC5 Live is great.

Was The Da Vinci Code an '06 movie? If so, and as much as I disliked it, I'm surprised it received absolutely zero Oscar nominations. It was a worldwide juggernaut in popularity ... usually deserving of a tech nom or something.

Fortunately, I haven't seen most of those horrors nominated by the razzies ... but., hahahaha, Kate Bosworth for Worst Actress is right on the money! I think M. Night's not getting a fair shake, but that was by far his worst film.

Yes, The Da Vinci Code was a 2006 movie (premiered at Cannes last year), and I am somewhat surprised to see it completely shut out but it deserves it.

I agree on Shyamalan. I think it was his second best movie (it just worked for me on all levels though I understand why people who don't like it don't like it). But it was hardly one of the horrible movies of the year and Shyamalan didn't embarrass himself. I think this is more a reaction to the publicity surrounding it and not the movie itself.

Ron Howard is also screwed. The movie sucked but it wasn't particularly his fault. The source sucked too.

Hooray! The cast of Little Miss Sunshine won the SAG Award for best cast in a motion picture.
