After three boys I was pretty freaked about having a girl- but Rose is so easy, and she has brought me back to my girly side. Which is so cool- and the others are right, shopping for girls is SO much cooler and more fun and just so exciting!!
I loved having boys- but Rose is the most amazing little person, and I love watching her grow and seeing the difference between her and her brothers. Congrats Traci- it's just soooo exciting! |
Well, I may be a little late, but Congratulations, Tracilicious!! I am so happy to hear of your good news. You must be so excited!

Yeah a boy then a girl!..... Just like my family..... They are soo fun. Mack walks around and says Katie Sister like that is her name. Congrats on a girl.

Congrats...just wait until that baby comes. The pink fairy will hit your house like a ton of bricks!
We had a boy-girl-girl-boy. We were amazed that after the first girl and all the pink things we got for her, that the second girl got even more pink stuff. The pink fairy hit us again. It is soooo easy and fun to get little pink girly things! Highly addictive. Now how to figure out future costs of not just college educations...but big princess fairy tale weddings. My husband just about breaks out in hives thinking about that one! Again.....congrats! |
Thanks again everyone. CP's fear reminded me of a Malcolm in the Middle I saw last week. It was a rerun of when Lois was pregnant and Hal asked her if she thought about what she wanted. She spent the whole day fantasizing that her horrible boys were wonderful girls that got along and loved shopping. In the end they turned on her something fierce. One was pregnant, one was married to middle aged white trash, and the other two were just evil. She patted her belly and said, "I hope you're a girl!" :p
I grew up with three sisters and two brothers and we girls could fight like nobody's business. We're best friends now though, so I do feel a little guilt about not giving my daughter a sister. Oh well. Speaking of pink...I like pink. A lot. But when my mil brought me an entire bag of baby clothes that were all pink I swear I wanted to puke by the bottom of the bag. Don't they make any other colors for girls?!?! I'm pretty sure I will never buy a pink item with all the pink everyone is already talking about buying. Speaking of in-laws, I'll be at DL with them next month, so a day meet is out of the question. Maybe we can plan a super secret downtown disney friday night meet? (I'm a closet poster. ) |
Have no fear traci there are alot of cute clothes that do not include pink. Katie tends to wear alot of purple and coral. Just wait until you hit a carter's store and the summer gingham two piece dresses are in. I love dressing Katie up in those. She looks soooo cute!!!!

I'm late joining in, but congratulations! This is excellent news on a rainy Monday, I'm so glad I peeked in this thread :D !

I'm continually shocked by the predominance of pink in little girls' clothing. Especially the kindergardeners. I swear, 3/4 of the girls I see that age on any given day are wearing something pink. And many are head-to-toe, pink shirt/pants/shoes/backpack. I have my share of pictures of me as a kid in pink frilly dresses, but come on! :vomit: It doesn't help that lots of the character driven clothes for girls, from Barbie to Dora to Sponge Bob, are all frikkin' pink.
I'm with you on that one, Traci. |
