I kept hearing about snow elsewhere today, but we didn't even get a drop of rain today where I'm at.

It snowed at school today. It was awesome. Everyone was running out and making snow angels.

If you want proof, here is a link to a story we broadcast today on TV. Sorry for ther background audio, people were freaking out about the snow :D

It snowed at Spring View when I was in the 7th grade. Lasted about 5 minutes but it didn't stick.

And every year at Meadow View for the pre-school.

Well, it snowed in Huntington Beach where I work! Here's a picture of our parking lot that I took from our building this afternoon!

Ok, let it be known this is my first chatroom lie.

So awesome! I'm totally jealous now. What kind of temperatures were you getting?

We've had lows in the mid to low 30s all week, with highs in the 40s and 50s. We are at about 1700 feet.

Then you haven't been paying attention. It snowed in the San Fernando Valley somewhere around 1988 or '89. And somewhere around '93 or '94 I vividly remember trying to rollerblade across what I thought was a puddle but was a solid patch of ice, still frozen at 11AM. And I remember many many mornings turning on the hose for my dog's water dish and having bars of ice shoot out. The cycle is around 5-7 years that we get a stretch of freezing weather. This is definitely one of the colder ones, but it ain't unprecedented.
