Global warming - they no longer contain the polar ice cap

You've been on the ride, are you sure you don't know? I'm not being coy, but I wonder if you didn't notice something, and, if you didn't, then I think you'll be more impressed by the attraction than you already are.

Can someone PM me, and let me know what this might be ? I won't be going on the subs anytime soon :(

Didn't they build a new show section? right before the entrance to the original show building? That would displace some water.

That would be my only speculation, but I cannot see how that displaced so much capacity.

Possibly the way they did the new attractions inside contribute to the capacity loss.

Otherwise, I have no clue.

My guess is displacement. New show building (though flodded), the glass cubes that house the show elements are full of air, new coral walls, ect.

Psst-

Spoiler:
A lot of scenes are dry for wet - throughout a lot of the show building you're not traveling through "liquid space" at all!

Do not click if your sense of Disney Magic is fragile. Ooh, look over there! Tinkerbell!

I see !!

Spoiler:
So do you go through a big squeegee under the waterfall ? How do they exclude the water in the show building - or is there still a certain amount of water between you and the show scenes (I imagine the glass walls are close to the sub, thus keeping sets dry and easier to maintain.)
