I've worn that look- and gotten many compliments on it.

...but I was never one to follow "trends". :) So if it's an "out" look- I guess I don't mind.

Where are you all finding the long shorts? I could use some new shorts. And please don't give me names of mall stores that only sell sizes 0-5.

Actually, I've seen them everywhere this season. Check your usual haunts and they'll probably have a version of bermudas.

Target and Kohls.

Count me in on the long shorts bandwagon....except that my curves force me to buy shorts with a drawstring waist. Otherwise you can flip quarters into my butt.

Don't forget the coin slot cream

Usual haunts. Ha. I hate clothes shopping and have no usual haunts, but I'll check Kohls for sure!

Morrigoon 07-05-2007 01:26 PM

I love Kohls, and as Walmart's plus sections continue their sad decline, I may be spending more and more of my clothing dollar at Kohl's. Usually I just go there for work clothes.

BarTopDancer 07-05-2007 01:34 PM

In Kohls I found that the misses pants don't fit right but in the Jrs dept the larger sizes come up high enough where I am not exposing my coin slot. Target has a cut "Mossimo Lowest Cut" that isn't low at all. Not sure why it's called that but it's awesome.

Thankfully I manage to overlook most teen fashion but I've been seeing skirts and dresses over pants or jeans for years. Dancers go for that combination quite a bit, I've always assumed to keep their legs warm while also having something with a little movement when they turn. And also to show off how skinny they are despite multiple layers of clothing.

For me, it would depend on how it looked when I put it together on me

I did buy one of those longer tops but then didn't like how it looked with my jeans. So, I wore it with comfy cropped stretchy pants to lounge around in.

True as someone said, there are now a lot of shirts with the longer length, babydoll type smocks? Empire waist? Both really cute.

The age deal. Well, shopping puts me in a mid-life crisis. I am too old for things I really think are cute and think I am too young for things that I really ought to be wearing. :rolleyes: Phooey. {as I sit here in my camouflage longer shorts with a brown tee, barefooted...}

Crystal, I agree with the longer length shorts. I dug out my summer clothes for our vacation and was dismayed that they were a bit snug. :( So, I went shopping and found a couple of pair of longer length shorts and I am so glad I did. I don't feel like my a$$ is hanging out all over town and I feel like I am dressing my age. Cammy and all. :D
