I just saw The Birds for the first time the other night, and the young Tippi Hendren was HOT!

lol!

I'm not sure but wasn't there a remake of The Birds on TV at some point? Or am I thinking of some other remake...

Edited to add: I was wrong it was a sequel! Yikes! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109275/

Here is the long/short of it. I did not intend to 'out' anybody. I was smiling when I writ' 'How dare you!' I thought that was obvious. I was surprised by the L7 and laughed out loud, which is something I usually only do at my own posts. I was slapped for a Hitchcock joke -- and one I didn't even tell!

Amen, Amen, I say to you, but if that situation does not deserve an outing, what does? I guess it never occured to me that what I was doing might be improper. If I could only have had the wisdom and grace of a CoasterMatt or a Kevinbaby, then I could have forseen this event. But, then, I thought it was funny and my rule in life is always go for the funny.

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I throw myself at your kind hearts & mercy.

I am not here to hurt anybody feelings, certainly not Prudence. I bear no grudge against she. Indeed, when CP zinged me a few years ago, I was angry, but later I realised that she had been right, I had been insensitive. So, I threw her some positive mojo back and then I took a long posting break. (And it was good.)

So what can a poorboy do, but either be a delicious sandwich, or saddened by this whole ugly chapter of LoT. Fact is, if we dropped mojo and L7's from LoT to-morrow, I would not mourn its passing. It has its place, I suppose, but not if we take it all so seriously.

How dare you accuse me of having wisdom; much less grace :D

Eh, its all water under the bridge. There's enough troubles in the world than to worry about this situation.

Carry on. Be silly. Have fun.

I just have to say that was a post most deserving of mojo, Tref!

I like to use my mojo for good, and as such have no problem with it being discussed. I'd rather people talk it out before they dish out the negs, but that's my own opinion and I realise everyone has their criteria for mojo-distribution. While I don't think it's healthy to obsess over the system, I think it's equally unhealthy to to lay a blanket 'no talking about you-know-what'- I've seen silly things happen when that rule is applied, and I think we're all better than that.

'Nuff derail- as far as the remakes go, I've no problem if they are good remakes. It's hard to improve on Mr. Hitchcock, though. If someone wants to expend the time, money and energy to try to do so, more power to them. It doesn't take away from the original; if anything, it enhances it.

I just hate when they remake movies that start with the word "the."

I wanted to go see The Haunting last night, for instance ... but must I say "The original The Haunting?"

I'd hate to have to refer to it as the original The Birds. It's just clunky. ;)
