Gemini Cricket 11-21-2007 11:16 AM

Wow. This film is getting good reviews. It's currently a 91% on rotten tomatoes. Not bad...

innerSpaceman 11-21-2007 12:45 PM

I'm available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, heehee.

Saw it, loved it... and there's a strapless dress, but no boobies.

I just got back from seeing Enchanted and loved it.
It's a must-see.
:)

Spoiler:

It's a wonderful twist on fairy tales and is, in fact, Disney taking a jab at itself. Pretty hysterical.
Amy Adams is great in this and makes the movie. She should be nominated for an Oscar for it. To me, she's that good.
James Marsden is perfectly cast. He's gorgeous.
Susan Sarandon's character was hyped in all of the previews, posters and billboards, but she's underused in this film. She's only in the last 15 minutes as her face character. They should have used her more.
The little girl in this is very sweet.
The songs are very catchy, too. Alan Menken did a good job.

There are a lot of Disney winks in this pic:
-Jodi Benson and Paige O'Hara make appearances in this film about princesses and fairy tales. What a nice touch. At one point, Jodi Benson is on-screen and you can hear "Part of Your World" in the score.
-The characters pass a restaurant that is named "Bella Note".
-Sarandon appears as a dead on live action version of the hag from Snow White towards the end of the flick.

Also, there are other nice touches...
-Idina Menzel appears as a supporting character, too. The audience I saw it with cheered for her when she first appeared. Very neat.

The film is repeatable, bound to be a Disney classic and is going to do well this weekend.

To me, not all of it was perfect (lots of ad placements and a scene that seemed to exist only to show little girls the thrill of shopping...) but it was excellent nonetheless.

See it see it see it.
