I thought this- I bought them an XBox Christmas before last- I did not play anything on it til last September/October- and now it is the main console I play. :) I love getting achievements!

Second to that is the Wii- but it does not get as much play. I really should play it more though-

Our XBox did recently suffer the ring of red lights and had to be shipped back- had a new one back in just over a week. :)

They were reporting a couple of weeks ago that the first of the checks were arriving that day, so I figured they were about two weeks ahead rather than just four days.

At any rate, it'll be a while before I see mine. I'm snail mail and in the middle of the pack. Damned SSN!

And now there are reports that banks are flooded with them and while the IRS is ahead of schedule, the deposits are being held up at the banks.

Maybe they'll arrive right on time.

Sadly, I have to pay a friend back with my rebate money.
He spotted me some rent money way back when.

We're due to get ours by tomorrow (we e-filed using Turbo-Tax with a rebate), but so far nothing.

Argh. I guess that clog at the bank is what is holding up our rebate.

Bummer. It will probably go to switching insurances {usually when you switch, they require a larger down payment, no?} or helping the kids do some things they need to have done.

I'd like to do a bit of yard work with it, simple things to make the place a bit more inviting.

Nephy, ah, you had the death rings, or ring of death. My older sons' Xbox has had it a couple of times but the younger sons seems to be safe, so far. I think it doesn't have entirely the same capabilities, smaller gigs? {okay whatever you call the memory...}

Anywho, we fall within the first numbers and nada yet. Phooey.
