I'm hoping we can come to a couple of these. I don't know if I can talk hubby into seeing any of the titles so far, but maybe. Promises of food and boobage might work.

So who's going this Saturday to The Party ?

I'm thinking of going. :)

And, of course, Shampoo is playing the night I've actually got work. Figures. :(

Seems like everyone in the area is going to be at Lucent Dossier or the dramatic reading party...

Looks like there may be Sunday screenings as well this season - just got this announcement:

Quote:

presents

performance

directed by nicholas roeg and donald cammell (1970, 105 min.)

sunday, june 8

gates at 7:30 pm, film at 9:00 pm
hollywood forever cemetery
6000 santa monica boulevard at gower
no reservation necessary.
$10 donation tickets available at gate.
as a courtesy to other movie-goers: no tall chairs.

mick jagger and anita pallenberg star in this british psychedelic opus. when a dashing gangster on the lam hides out in the mansion of a faded rock star, their lives collide in a whirlpool of reality and fantasy. roeg's first film is a complex visual kaleidoscope blending together the criminal underworld of london and the psychedelic culture of rock and roll. jack nietzche, ry cooder and of course the stones supply the classic 60s soundtrack. genuinely mind-blowing. dj mahssa spins before and after the screening

WTF? Why not Wednesdays???

OK... I've been really happy with the DVD that came out last year, but I think I'd love to see Performance with a group of people.

I recently saw Harmony Korine's flick, Mr. Lonely, which features both James Fox and Anita Pallenberg, and I've been ready to see them both when they were young and swingin'...

...is anyone up for this?

Would be, but we're away for our anniversary; the usual Cemetary screeners are camping.
